Latino Business Chamber of Commerce of Great LA gets A Corporate Gift from PERI Software

New Offices and the Business High Tech Center Dedicated at Open House

Los Angeles, CAThe Latino Business Chamber of Greater Los Angeles
(
LBC-GLA) held a recent open house and ribbon cutting ceremony in downtown Los Angeles to officially dedicate its new office complex and Business Technology Training Center. The new offices are now located at 634 S. Spring Street, Los Angeles, 90014.

The five dozen work stations were donated by PERI Software Solutions, Inc., which also opened a Los Angeles office in the Wells Fargo Tower in the business district downtown earlier this year.  “Technology is critical in today’s working environment, and having the right tools to get the job done is equally important,” said President & CEO Sarav Periasamy, PERI Software. “We believe that technology helps any business organization on the move. As a business solutions company we know the value of having a business training center.””

The event spotlighted and hosted a rising political star, Chamber President and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, who received a compliment from the big Lone Star state of Texas. Texas political insider and member of the George W. Bush Administration, Mark McKinnon said, “Julian Castro has a very good chance of becoming the first Hispanic president of the United States,” in a recent quote in a New York Times article.

“We are proud to help open this Business Technology Training Center, a first of its kind for services to chamber members,” Castro said. Other sponsors, who were present at the ribbon cutting ceremony included: Verizon Regional President, Tim Mc Callion and AT&T Vice President Karime Sanchez Bradvica.  PERI Software was represented by Peter Wiersma, vice president of Business Development.

Julian Castro’s political career took off a few years after completing law school and in 2009 he was elected as the Mayor of the seventh largest city in the country, at the age of 34.

Castro, who worked with the senior White House staff on employment, energy, and other regional and national issues, noted the particular importance of technology in the emerging Latino business community.
